Access to AthenaHealth Patient Portal (StewardCONNECT) ends Jan. 1, 2025
On October 1, 2024, Steward Medical Group specialty physicians transitioned their practices to Lawrence General Hospital Community Medical Associates. Together, Lawrence General and Holy Family Hospitals, along with community physician practices, are working to provide access to a greater level of care for patients and communities throughout the region.
Patients of former Steward Medical Group Specialty practices who are now part of Lawrence General Hospital Community Medical Associates no longer have access to the AthenaHealth Patient Portal (StewardCONNECT) effective Jan. 1, 2025.
Former AthenaHealth Patient Portal (StewardCONNECT) users will enroll in the Lawrence General Hospital Patient Portal.
Here is what you need to know:
- Team members at your physician practice will assist you with enrollment in the Lawrence General Patient Portal and provide information on its use.
- The Lawrence General Patient Portal will provide access to your records for services at the practices on or after Jan. 1, 2025.
- Physician practices will maintain a data archive of historical data and medical records. You may request a copy of your medical records by completing a Medical Records Request Form by using one of the below links.

Spanish – Haverhill, MA - During the transition period, patients may receive billing statements from different providers depending upon when services were provided, including from Steward for services prior to Jan. 1, 2025, Lawrence General Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and Lawrence General Community Medical Associates.

Continuity of Care
Patients can continue to receive care from their physicians and clinical providers at Holy Family Hospital, with the added availability of access to Lawrence General Hospital services.
The Lawrence General Patient Portal provides a user-friendly experience on a platform specifically designed to support patients and their physicians in managing care.
With the Lawrence General Patient Portal, you can:
- Easily and securely access your health information and physician practices by mobile device or desktop computer.
- Schedule and pre-register for appointments.
- Update insurance and personal information, including medications and allergies.
- Complete self-check-in via smartphone upon arrival to your appointment.
- Access consent forms for signature and complete questionnaires.
Additionally, you can:
- Easily access clinical provider notes, radiology reports, and laboratory results.
- Securely message your providers.
- Request prescription renewals between visits.
- Grant portal access to family members and caregivers, so they can help their loved ones.
