Abha Agrawal, MD, FACP, FACHE

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Abha Agrawal is the President and CEO of Lawrence General Hospital. She serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American College of Medical Quality, and the Indian American Medical Association Charitable Foundation in Illinois.

She is a Fulbright scholar and recipient of numerous awards for her transformational work in healthcare including quality and safety, health informatics, transformational leadership, and health equity. She is also the founder of A4 Clinics, a chain of tech-enabled neurorehabilitation centers to address the burden of preventable disability in India.

She is the editor of several books on patient safety and health IT, and the author of a personal memoir, “13 Gifts for My Son: Lessons for a Meaningful Life.”

She received her medical education in India, served a residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, and was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship in Medical Informatics at Yale School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics.

Christine M. Basil, MSN, RN

Vice President of Nursing and Operations and Site Administrator

As the vice president of nursing and operations, Christine Basil is responsible for nursing and clinical operations for our Holy Family campuses in Methuen and Haverhill. She also serves as Holy Family’s site administrator, partnering with other members of the executive leadership team to ensure quality, equity and compassionate care on the Methuen and Haverhill campuses.

Christine has a strong passion for operational excellence and a proven background in workforce development, mentorship, team building and clinical integration.

She has over 20 years of experience in health care leadership and has been afforded several opportunities throughout her career, including in Emergency Department, acute care, case management and professional development and education.

Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University and a master’s in nursing from the University of Hartford. She also received her case management certification from the University of Indiana.

Prior to Holy Family, Christine held leadership positions at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, and Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer.

William Goodman, MD, MPH

Vice President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Bill Goodman is the vice president of medical affairs at Lawrence General Hospital-Holy Family Hospital. He is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician and a longstanding physician leader who has been with Holy Family Hospital since 2020.

He is committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, and culturally competent care that exceeds patient and regulatory expectations. He is a member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine’s Quality and Safety Committee and the Methuen Board of Health.

Prior to working in Massachusetts, Dr. Goodman practiced in New Hampshire for over 20 years, where he was recognized by the New Hampshire Hospital Association as the Medical Staff Member of the Year in 2016 for service to hospital and community based on his leadership role in the state’s response to the opioid epidemic.

Dr. Goodman received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, was an internal medicine resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellow in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Goodman also earned an MPH at the T.S. Chan Harvard School of Public Health. He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.
